Lunula is built on a simple principle: your health data is yours alone. This policy explains exactly what we collect (nothing) and how your data is protected.
Last updated: April 2025 · Effective: April 2025
The short version: Lunula does not collect, store, transmit, or have any access to your personal health data. Everything stays on your device. This is enforced by our architecture — there are no servers for data to be sent to.
Lunula is a menstrual cycle tracking application. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to the Lunula development team. Questions can be directed to our support page.
We collect no personal data whatsoever. Lunula operates entirely on your device. The following categories of data are entered by you and stored exclusively in your device's local storage:
None of this data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party under any circumstances.
Lunula contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising identifiers, no crash reporting tools, and no third-party tracking libraries of any kind. We have no visibility into how you use the app or whether you use it at all.
Lunula does not make any outbound network requests during normal operation. The app functions entirely offline. No internet connection is required or used.
Lunula offers an optional encrypted backup feature. When you choose to export a backup:
Lunula supports optional PIN protection and biometric authentication (Face ID, fingerprint). These features use your device's secure enclave and biometric APIs. Authentication credentials are never stored by Lunula and are handled entirely by your operating system.
Lunula is intended for users aged 13 and over. Because we collect no data from any user, there is no special handling required for minors. No personal information from any user is ever collected, stored, or transmitted.
You can delete all app data at any time via Settings → Data → Reset all data within the app, or by uninstalling the app. Because we hold no data, there is nothing to request deletion of from us.
Lunula does not integrate with any third-party services that would receive your data. When Lunula becomes available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, distribution via those platforms will be subject to their own privacy policies, which govern your relationship with Apple and Google respectively — not your relationship with Lunula.
If we make changes to this policy, the updated version will be published here with a revised "Last updated" date. Because we collect no data, any changes are unlikely to affect your privacy in practice. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or Lunula's privacy practices, please use our support contact form. We will respond as promptly as possible.
Verify for yourself: Our privacy guarantees are architectural, not just legal. A network-capable developer tool can confirm that Lunula makes no outbound connections during normal use.
